Recruiting is an ability now open only to officers and higher ranks. This is to help prevent people from slipping back into the guild after being kicked out. If you have alts or spot someone you think would be a good addition to the guild, please feel free to let an officer know who they are if you want them recruited. The standard 14 day wait period between being initiated and becoming a member will still apply for anyone other than an alt. Read the rest of this entry »
We recently had Jorde (not Jordi) quit on us. We (or rather *I*) had multiple complaints regarding him in that he would ask for instance runs, promising to pay 20 gold(!) then bail on the person by hearthing out after the run was complete.
I had been giving this person the benefit of the doubt, except he would do some odd things that were tripping alarms for me such as offering to pay for our next tab (which would cost 400 gold!), and repeatedly asking how he could get promoted.
It was due to the first complaint that I was hedging on promoting him (which would give much more powerful access to the guild bank), and then I caught another complaint yesterday.
When I went to see when Jorde was on last, I discovered he had quit the guild with no notice to me or anyone I am aware of.
I will not tolerate ANYONE tarnishing our image as a guild, and I ask anyone who sees him on to keep this behavior in mind, and to report him to any guild he may join up in in the future.
Thank you.

Just popping in to mention a few minor issues that have cropped up.
I had to pull the ability for members to withdraw a gold a day - it was getting abused. I apologize for any inconvenience there. You can, however, still do bank repairs with no problem.
Also, in recruiting, try to use a little discrimination. If someone has a crude, rude, or otherwise report-worthy name, it’s probably best not to invite them in to the guild. I’m not talking tongue in cheek names here (after all, I have a Tauren named Shullbit over Hordeside), but rather the crude, in your face, “Look at me, I’m on borrowed time until WoW forces a name-change on me!” names. I had to kick an initiate out yesterday for having a name like that and I didn’t like having to do so.
I also had the joy of getting my first whispered complaint from someone outside the guild regarding someones behavior (Not paying the promised money for a DM run). Whether this accusation is true or not, it brings up the point that by being in this guild, you represent not only yourself, but everybody else in the guild. Behave yourself. Its not all that difficult to do.
