What a tale of war, deception, pain and brotherly trust. Well, not really, but I could fake it. At this point I’m not even into the Lore anymore. I just want to hit 70. I’m a lite role player and from 20 - 45 I read all the quest details and for a moment is was really neat learning about the conflicts these NPCs were having. After 50 it was all about getting to 60 and then getting to 70. Screw the lore, just get me to an end-game status. I said all of that to say I don’t even remember how I got into this quest-chain. All I know is I was back at The Hinterlands fighting the troll menace.
Eyes of the East has slain the Defias’ leader, Edwin Vancleef. This blow to the local militia was excuted by a few brave souls from EotE. Last night, May 8, 2008 around 9:00 PM (server time) - a group of assassins were sent to the captial of the Defias Brotherhood, located in The Deadmines, to put an end to Vancleef’s rein of terror in the land of Westfall and Elwynn. The group consisted of Leeanne, a level 17 rogue, whom is also an alt for Marfe Jokin. Jimaay, a level 20 warlock, whom is an alt of Jimay. Helakk, a level 15 rogue, whom is an alt to Tullwynis. Hellchild, a level 32 hunter, whom pulls like crazy - he ended up being the group’s tank. Finally; a level teenish holy priest that was picked up from the LookingForGroup channel. Leeanne added her as a friend, but her name escapes her for the moment.
Marfejokin (Night Elf) has been promoted to officer due to this involvement in building the guild’s web site. Give him a /congrats when you see him in game.
I am actually trying to write more mumbo jumbo because this image to the right is overlapping badly and messing up the next post. So; a bit about Marfejokin. He is an alt for Kathrine (Draenei Hunter) and he’s our first priest. His role as our priest is to support (with heals/buffs) when ever needed. At the time of his promotion, he is level 22 and his professions are herbalism and alchemy.
Last night was a really crazy night in Azeroth. I started out the night, telling my wife, “I’m only going to do two quests and I’m headed to bed.” How many of you know from experience that that’s never the case. Everything started off fine; I was in Ironforge at the weapons master’s place. The previous night I tried to see if my priest could learn two-handed mace, since he knew one-handed mace. To my surprise I can only learn staves, dagger and one-handed mace – what a jip!
I made it back to Darkshore trying to figure out which quest to do first and that’s where the night veered off road into a 3+ hour run. I met a guy that wanted to go to The Barrens. I’ve never been there so I said yeah that sounds good, where is it? He said it was a long walk, but I auto-followed him – man that option is great!
