Eyes of the East

Eyes of the East has slain the Defias’ leader, Edwin Vancleef. This blow to the local militia was excuted by a few brave souls from EotE. Last night, May 8, 2008 around 9:00 PM (server time) - a group of assassins were sent to the captial of the Defias Brotherhood, located in The Deadmines, to put an end to Vancleef’s rein of terror in the land of Westfall and Elwynn. The group consisted of Leeanne, a level 17 rogue, whom is also an alt for Marfe Jokin. Jimaay, a level 20 warlock, whom is an alt of Jimay. Helakk, a level 15 rogue, whom is an alt to Tullwynis. Hellchild, a level 32 hunter, whom pulls like crazy - he ended up being the group’s tank. Finally; a level teenish holy priest that was picked up from the LookingForGroup channel. Leeanne added her as a friend, but her name escapes her for the moment.

The officers of EotE have temporarily made Thursday nights, RAIDing night until we get more feedback from the guild. We all want you to join in on the fun of doing RAIDs. This week we will run Deadmines (aka DM, VC, DMVC), which is a low-level 5 to 10 man dungeon. Bring your enthusiasm for adventure as we take on Edwin VanCleef and his Defias Brotherhood.

Mafejokin, Mateoswrath, and Aariana hanging out for a picture after slaying SFK’s boss.

Yesterday morning I woke up at 3:30 AM to feed my daugther. After that I thought it would be a great time to get in some WoW since I haven’t really had a good session in a couple of days. I logged in and started guild chatting. I was in Ironforge at the time and ended up inviting two new recruits to the guild. At some point Aariana and Mateso decided that we would do a Shadowfang Keep run. “Great!” I thought to myself - I missed the other night when Gigawatt wanted to do the run.

So; we all went to Silverpine Forest. We all seemed to take our own time getting there. I think I have a complex about how weak my priest is, I asked Aariana to escort me from Southshore to SFK and she said something along the lines that I should be able to handle myself. And you know what… I was! I grabbed some herbs on the way and even ran into a two horde players. Luckily for me, as advised by Mateso to turn off my PvP flag. I would have clearly died, they might have tea-bagged me, who knows - it would have been a mess either way.

Ok; maybe my title is a bit too harsh, but it really burns me how many items (at my level) are soulbound. I went to bed early last night and woke up around 3:30 AM. I wasn’t feeling tired so I gently snuck out of my bed (not to wake the wife) and logged into WoW. I have about 20/25 quests to rummage through, but Ashenvale is a bit dangerous right now so I thought I’d do Stockade since I had a quest for it. I got on the LookingForGroup channel and posted my availability for SWS. I saw another group chatting about SFK? I inquired what was SFK and they told me Shadowfang Keep. Sounds cool, I’ve never been there.

So; we meet at Wetlands and make the long journey to Silverpine Forest. It was hilarious! While traveling to this dangerous place, it was so surprising that any 30+ mob we came across - targeted me out of everyone. It’s like they had a vendetta on priests. I would heal, shield, psychic scream - but they just kept coming. This one spider wouldn’t give up his meal (me). You know how after a mob gets out of his zone, he’ll eventually release his agro and return to his spot. Not this one - he followed us in into Refuge Pointe (Arathi Highlands) and none of the alliance NPCs would help us. They just watched me DIE!!! We laughed it off and kept moving north-west.
