Hey All, I am so excited right now. I finally got World of Warcraft working on my linux-box running Fedora 8. I’m basically 90% ready to completely switch to linux. The only thing still keeping me dual-booted is Quickbooks. I got Adobe Dreamweaver installed today and tried it out - so far so good. It was a long grooling task, but in the end (like any other stumbling block I encounter with linux), I’ve learned a lot about my system/hardware and how linux works.

Right now I’m watching my son downstairs and I’ll soon post a picture of my desktop with WoW running. “Elune has graced me this evening!”

This is amazing.  I got on LFG to do stockades and someone posted that they needed a healer for SM.  I ran it with them and I ended up with a brand new awesome  ROD! (Illusionary Rod)  Sweet!  They did leave me dead on the last boss though - really sucked, but what can you expect from a PuG.

Sunwell Patch 2.4

Yeah, for all those level 70s the patch 2.4 for World of Warcraft is out!  Oh yeah, I’m not even close to level 70 (priest level 33) so this patch means absolutely NOTHING to me.  All I hear about is Sunwell Isle and the new 25-man raid.  There are some general fixes and updates, but other than that, there’s another patch out, enjoy!

As a heads up, I went in and redesigned our guild ranking structure yesterday, so some of you may notice a difference.

Casually Hardcore

This show, Casually Hardcore, is by far my most favorite out of the gigantic list of shows hosted by WoW Radio. They took a break from their normal end-game topics (raids, etc) to explain how things work in WoW and MMOs. So this episode is packed with tons of information for newbies. Enjoy it!

SFK - Ilse, Tullwyins, and Marfe Jokin

From the left: Ilse, Tullwynis, and Marfe Jokin pwnin’ Shadowfang Keep.

Yesterday while sitting around in some Horde lumber mill I sent in guild chat a request to do a run.  Ilse answered, “where?”  I dunno, but after a few minutes someone suggested Shadowfang Keep.  I haven’t done that one in a while - so we ran it.  I’m not going to type long, but we had fun and got some good loot to sell.
