This blog is to show you how easy it is to make an honest living at the auction house (AH) in WoW. I’m no expert, but lately I’ve been spending a lot of time at the AH and I’m making some good money. This is possible because of an add-on called “Auctioneer“. This tool helps you see what your items go for in the AH - highs, lows and a suggested price. It’s a bit of work, at first, but once you make it a routine (in between quests) you’ll start seeing some gold in your inbox.
The first part that confused me was “scanning” the auction house. I didn’t understand how this add-on interacted with the AH database. Once you go to the AH, you’ll see that you have some new tabs on your screen. On your main tab there is a “scan” button. This typically take 3 minutes, but scan the AH database. Do this once a day for 1 week, then once a week from there on out.
(Edited; 8 Jan 2008) Our newest member (Jorde) suggested that 3:00 AM is a great time to put stuff on the auction house. He has a couple level 70s so his word is not taken lightly.
